Ugochukwu Chibuikem founded Oak Tax to provide a more personal and informed approach to tax preparation. After working for one of the largest tax-preparation companies in the country and preparing returns for individuals and small business owners, he saw that many taxpayers were receiving completed returns without fully understanding their tax situation or opportunities for planning.
To provide a higher level of service, Ugo earned an MBA in Accounting from American Public University and became an Enrolled Agent, a federally licensed tax professional authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
